Returns & Refunds Policy

- Scope & Eligibility
This policy applies to all products purchased directly from Throb Tek (Pty) Ltd, including but not limited to:
- RFID wristbands (fabric, PVC, silicone, etc.)
- Lanyards & pass holders
- Custom-branded merchandise
- Stationery & promotional materials
- PPE and event supplies
You may return eligible items within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery, provided
they meet the criteria listed below.
- How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, please contact:

Include:
- Order/invoice number
- Reason for return
- Photos (if applicable)
We will provide a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and our return address in
Johannesburg.
- Conditions for Returns
- Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.
- A valid proof of purchase is required.
- Items returned without a RAN or after the 14-day period may not be accepted.
- Return Shipping Costs
- Customer’s responsibility unless due to a Throb Tek error (wrong or defective product).
- Returned items must be packaged securely to prevent transit damage.
- Courier costs are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
- Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
Notify us within 7 days of receipt.
Send:
- Photos showing the issue
- A short description
Throb Tek will: - Replace the item free of charge, or
- Offer a full refund, including return shipping.
- Custom & Branded Products
Strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable, including:
- Printed wristbands
- Branded lanyards
- Promotional merchandise with custom logos
Always check your proofs or pre-production samples carefully before approving.
- Exclusions
Returns or refunds will not be accepted for:
- Opened or used PPE (e.g. masks, sanitizer)
- Products damaged due to misuse or negligence
- Items returned after the 14-day window without prior approval
- Exchanges
To exchange an item:
- Return the original as per normal procedure
- Place a new order for the desired item
We do not reserve stock for exchanges until the new order is confirmed.
- Refund Processing
- Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of approval.
- Refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 10 business days.
- Bank processing times may vary (typically 3–5 working days).
- Non-Collected In-Store Orders
Orders not collected within 10 calendar days from notification will incur a R100/week
storage fee.
Items uncollected after 60 days may be donated or disposed of at our discretion.
- Warranties
- Throb Tek offers a 30-day limited warranty on most products for defects in materials or workmanship.
- This does not cover: Wear and tear Damage from misuse or improper storage Unauthorised modifications
To claim a warranty, contact us with detailed photos and your proof of purchase.
- International Orders
- Customs duties, import VAT, and border clearance costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Returns from outside South Africa are accepted, but all return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless due to our fault.
- International refunds may take longer due to banking delays and currency processing.
- Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR/POPIA)
- All customer information is handled in compliance with POPIA (South Africa) and GDPR (EU clients).
- We collect only the information needed to process and ship your order.
- Customer data is never sold or shared with third parties, except courier partners.
- You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing:
